REFRAKTO is an inter-religious audiovisual performance made for churches and sacred spaces made in collaboration with visual artist collective Vertigo and combines music, sound, light-scenography and laser mapping.

REFRAKTO investigates traces of religion and spirituality from our history and offer a both immersive experience and inner journey.

REFRAKTO is composed from samples of religious and spiritual music across the globe. From field recordings of indigenous ritual ceremonies and Benedictine choir traditions to classical Arab vocal music and contemporary experimental electronic music.

REFRAKTO is built with a custom-made generative light installation, creating an abstract yet strong connection between the history of religion, the architectural space of the church and technology itself.

REFRAKTO is unique and evolving – composed, designed and build specifically for each church.
